ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
SoM operates three locations in BC and Alberta, offering over 50,000 hours of programming to 1,100 young artists.
Vancouver......
opened it’s doors in April 2002. We moved into our permanent location on East 7th Avenue in September 2011, where we offer a full spectrum of music programming and learning resources.
NEW WESTMINSTER…
officially moved to our new home at Douglas College in New Westminster (700 Royal Ave, New Westminster), with classes and programs beginning November 4, 2024.
EDMONTON......
started in 2016. In 2023, SOM partnered with MacEwan University who now host our program in their Department of Music spaces, Allard Hall. We offer after-school programming four days a week, a drop-in program and a partner program with Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society offering a weekly class for indigenous youth.
